Mist and fog changes the questions, it changes the colour because it's a thing so you have to paint It... I walk this Harbour nearly  every day so draw and paint very regularly.  Every day and evening is different.

Harmandeep Singh is a self taught artist who depicts his hometown of
Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.

His has travelled extensively for his art, from the Himachal hills in
India to nine cities within Russia where studied the likes of Nikolai
Dubovskoy and Isaac Levitan. Other influences include George Inness,
Edward Munch, Edward Seago, and Turner - whom he considers his mentor
- as well as modern greats such as Frederick Cuming & Russel Chatham.

For Harmandeep, paintings are like poetry and music. In india the
musical notes are called ragas and these ragas are what he tries to
depict in his paintings by using subdued values and a limited palette
which gives a sense of visual poetry to his work.

His 2019 Solo show ' Celebrating Yellow' was a visual travelogue from
India and Russia' the capital city Delhi of India and his works have
been acquired by the Museum of Alexandrov in Russia.

”As a kid my recollection of this place of my country side is vivid, I had an emotion of being extremely fond of it as it always had a different light and air around it. Last year 2019 I got a chance to finally paint it in the afternoon orange light. This painting always reminds me of a poem very auspicious in my native punjabi language.”
